Premier Award Luncheon Raises over $52,000!

On Wednesday, October 28th, THS hosted its premier Alvirita Little Award Luncheon at The Grand Hyatt Hotel in downtown Seattle. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and guests, we raised over $52,000 to help support programs and services for underserved, at-risk youth and young adults.

Our 250 guests were treated to a luncheon of arugula-pear-hazelnut salad, roasted Alaskan salmon and apricot-chocolate tort. They were also treated to success stories from participants who have benefited from our drug, alcohol and mental health intensive outpatient treatment services. Kaaren Andrews, principal of Madrona K-8 School in Seattle, also shared stories of amazing outcomes by the school’s partnership with THS to meet the special needs of difficult-to-serve youth and their families.

The highlight of our luncheon was the presentation of the 10th Alvirita Little Award to Patti Skelton-McGougan of Youth Eastside Services, where she has served as Executive Director since 1997.
